─── THE PROBLEM
Hidden Trails is an existing platform dedicated to offering equestrian vacation packages around the world, connecting travelers with unique horseback riding experiences. However, the current user experience is hindered by several usability issues.
─── THE PLAN
01. EXISTING ISSUES
02. SOLUTIONS
03. REDESIGN
04. TAKEAWAY
It currently takes four separate clicks to see all the trips within any specific country, and where to click is not very clear.
The price of a trip is no longer visible when you click into it and important information such as accommodations and itineraries are not presented clearly enough.
The image gallery for each trip is displayed vertically, which does not work well next to the text, making the page feel cramped.
The process of booking a specific trip is confusing and complicated. Many users may be hesitant to book an expensive trip on an unstable platform without being in contact with a representative first.
Each page of the site is very crowded and overwhelming to the user, the color palette of the entire site is not visually appealing. The site feels outdated, and navigating it is not a straightforward or enjoyable experience.
My final redesign of the Hidden Trails website offers a much more intuitive and enjoyable user experience, making it easier for travelers to explore, discover, and inquire about equestrian adventures around the world. With a cleaner layout, simplified navigation, and thoughtfully organized trip pages, users can now find the information they need quickly and effortlessly. The updated design not only enhances usability but also creates a visually inviting atmosphere that reflects the excitement and beauty of the journeys being offered.
